Establishment Of The Southern University Radiation Safety Office

In 1998, I established the Radiation Safety Office for the university. This initiative required establishing guidelines for the use of Radio-Active materials, both sealed and open sources on campus. We now have a radiation badge dosimeter system. The office has a budget of Approx. $40,000/Cal. Year.

Directing Renovation Project In The Physics Department

In 1996, I wrote a proposal to NSF [Academic Research Infrastructure] to renovate ten(10) laboratories in the Physics Department. The proposal was fully funded at a level $ 721,000.00 and $575,000.00 from NSF and $146,000.00 from LA- Board of Regents.
